Maroons Picked to Finish Eighth in ODAC Women's Tennis Preseason Poll

FOREST, Va. -- With the spring season quickly approaching, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference has released is 2023 ODAC Preseason Women's Tennis Poll with the Roanoke women's tennis team picked to finish 8th out of the 12 conference teams with 62 points. 

16-Time defending ODAC champion Washington and Lee is picked to win the conference collecting 12 of the 13 coaches' votes along with 144 points. Sweet Briar, runner-up the past two seasons, is picked to finish second with 132 points and remaining first place vote. ODAC newcomer Averett is picked third with 116 points with Virginia Wesleyan picked fourth with 104 points and Shenandoah is picked fifth with 95 points. 

Lynchburg (91) and Randolph-Macon (82) are sixth and seventh, respectively. The Maroons are tied in finish eighth with Bridgewater (62 points). Randolph (46), Guilford (40), Hollins (25), and Ferrum (15) complete the 13 team poll.

The Maroons get the spring portion of their schedule underway on Saturday, February 25 when they welcome the Maryville Scots. First serve with the Scots is scheduled for 1:30 from the Elizabeth Campus courts.
