The Short Story: The Roanoke College women's cross country team finished 17th among the 25 teams competing at the 2022 Royals Challenge hosted by Queens University of Charlotte. The Maroons finished ahead of several Div. II and Div. III teams.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lauren Brown was the top Roanoke finisher, crossing the line in 51st place in a time of 21:32.8.
- Allison Sarver (112th - 23:46.7) and Savannah Reid (115th – 23:53.9) also finished in the top 125 in the event.
- There was a total of 199 runners at the race.
UP NEXT
- Roanoke returns home on Friday, October 14 when it hosts the Roanoke XC Invitational at Greenhill Park in Salem. The women's race gets underway at 5:50 p.m.
