Wirth joined the Roanoke College Athletic Training staff in the fall of 2021. Prior to coming to Roanoke, Wirth spent four years in the American Hockey League with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. During his time with the Phantoms, AJ worked with the Philadelphia Flyers organization in the Sports Medicine department. A 2017 graduate of Lock Haven University, Wirth earned his B.S. in Athletic Training before pursuing a graduate degree at California University of Pennsylvania. AJ completed his M.S. in Exercise Science with a dual concentration in Performance & Injury Prevention and Sports Psychology.
Wirth resides in Salem with his wife Bailee (also an athletic trainer at Roanoke).
