RC Baseball Moves Up in Two National Polls

Salem, Va. -- On the strength of an 8-3 start, the Roanoke College Baseball team has moved up in a pair of national polls.

The Maroons check in at No. 14 in this week's D3baseball.com/NCBWA Top-25, up two spots from a week ago. RC also cracked the top-10 in this week's Perfect Game poll, the Maroons moved up four spots this week to hold down the No. 10 ranking.

RC, which has won four games in a row is led offensively by Sean Guida who is hitting .400 on the season to go with eight RBI. Guida has an ODAC leading 16 runs scored and is second with 18 hits on the season. The Roanoke pitching staff currently has a 2.91 ERA which is second best in the ODAC. Opponents are hitting just .240 on the season against the RC staff.

The Maroons will open up ODAC play on Saturday when they travel to Bridgewater for a doubleheader starting at Noon.
