Sean Guida Named ODAC Player of the Week

Salem, Va. – Roanoke's Sean Guida has been named the ODAC Baseball Player of the Week as the league announced its weekly awards on Monday.

Guida, a senior from Summit, N.J., put together a strong week at the dish in helping Roanoke capture a trio of conference victories. Guida posted a .615/.667/1.385 slash line powered by an 8-for-13 showing with five extra-base hits, four runs scored, six runs driven in, and a pair of walks. He opened his week going 2-for-5 with a double, homer, two RBI and a run scored in a 10-1 win at Lynchburg. Guida went 6-for-8 in a sweep of Eastern Mennonite, going 2-for-3 with a double, homer, two runs scored, two RBI, and a pair of walks in an 8-4 win in game one. In the second outing, he was 4-for-5 with a triple, two RBI, and a run scored.

For the season, Guida is third in the league in batting (.453) and on-base percentage (.557) and ranks second in slugging (.797), runs scored (21), and hits (29). He leads the ODAC in triples (4) and total bases (51).
