Salem, Va. – Roanoke College standout Sean Guida has been named First-Team All-South Region by D3baseball.com.

The reigning ODAC Player of the Year, Guida capped his career by hitting .403 this season which was second-best in the league. He led the league with 71 hits and runs with 55. His .699 slugging percentage was tops in the league along with his 123 total bases. Guida's seven triples was most in the league, while his seven home runs was fifth best.

For his career, Guida finished with 203 hits. He had a .352 career batting average to go along with eight home runs and 113 RBI. His 21 career triples is tied for the second most in the history of the ODAC.

Guida helped the Maroons to a 31-11 record which is the second most wins in school history. RC advanced to the championship round of the ODAC Tournament, with Guida earning all-tournament team honors. 

The 2018 season marks the seventh year that D3baseball.com has named All-Region teams, with 800 players nominated. The ballot was then made available to SIDs, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region, as well as D3baseball.com staff and contributors.
