Butler, Wall Named All-Region by D3Baseball.com & ABCA

SALEM, Va. -- After advancing to the ODAC Tournament final weekend, a pair of Roanoke baseball players have earned All-Region honors by both D3Baseball.com & ABCA/Rawlings.

Conner Butler was named First Team All-Region at second base by both organizations while Jonny Wall was selected Second Team All-Region by ABAC/Rawlings and Third Team All-Region at shortstop. Both were named All-ODAC earlier this month with Butler a First Team All-ODAC selection and Wall a Second Team All-ODAC honoree.

Butler appeared in a 42 games for the Maroons this year. Over the course of the season he collected 52 hits, 47 RBIs, 24 walks, 17 doubles, seven home runs, six stolen bases, and four triples. He was named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week in the final week of the regular season. 

Wall played in all 45 games this season for Roanoke. Overall he finished with 66 hits in 175 at bats. Of those 66 hits, 14 were doubles, three were triples, and three were home runs. He finished with 44 RBIs and 15 walks while stealing eight bases. 

The Maroons finished 28-17 overall and 16-6 in the ODAC, tying for third in the conference standings. Roanoke defeated Washington and Lee in an ODAC quarterfinal series before falling to Shenandoah on the second weekend of the conference tournament.
