The Lead: Randolph-Macon knocked down nine first-half three-pointers as the Yellow Jackets topped Roanoke 89-73 Saturday afternoon in the regular season finale for both teams.

How it Happened:

• Joey Miller led RC with 15 points on the afternoon, while John Fitchett had 14 and John Caldwell came off the bench to score 11 points for the Maroons. C.J. Miles chipped in with nine points off the bench as well for RC.
• R-MC got a game-high 31 points from Michael Taylor. Lamont Moore, Daniel Noe and Darryl Williams each had 10 points in the win for the Jackets. Moore also had a game-high 15 rebounds as well.
• Despite R-MC's hot shooting , Roanoke found themselves down just 41-37 when Miles drained a three-pointer with 4:19 to go in the half.
• Randolph-Macon would score seven of the final nine points of the opening stanza to take a 48-39 lead into the locker room at intermission.
• RC remained within striking distance early in the second-half, but with R-MC up 59-49, the Yellow Jackets went on a 13-2 run that was capped by a Moore dunk to make the score 72-51 with 10 minutes to go in the game.
