How it Happened:

  • The score was tied at 11 before W&L went on a 14-5 run and moved ahead 25-16 on a Jack Lewis three-pointer with 7:13 to go in in the half.
  • A Kevin Dennin three-pointer capped a 10-2 General run that pushed the Washington and Lee lead to 38-21 with 1:24 to go.
  • Roanoke's Tripp Greene made the score 45-33 with a basket at the 15:57 of the second-half.
  • The Generals responded with a 19-5 over the next 10 minutes, taking its biggest lead of the game following a Richie Manigault bucket that made it 64-38 with 6:30 to play.
  • Greene finished with 14 points for RC. Nick Price and Caleb Jordan each finished with eight points apiece. Ethan Rohan grabbed seven rebounds for RC.
  • Robert DiSibio came off the bench to score 16 points for the Generals. Manigault had 10 points, while Curtis Mitchell had nine points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
  • Roanoke shot 31.6% for the game, making 18-for-57 shots for the contest. W&L made 27-of-57 (47.4%) attempts from the field in the win.
