Golf Places Sixth at Roanoke College Invitational
ROANOKE --- Roanoke College placed sixth in the 2012 Roanoke College Invitational held at Roanoke Country Club this weekend. Bluefield St. won the tournament by 21 strokes (607/+39).

The Maroons finished the weekend with a two-round team score of 631 (+63). The men were fifth after the first day of competition, shooting a 316. In the second and final day of the tournament, the hosts finished one stroke better (315), but finished sixth.

Brandon Ketron led Roanoke with a team-low 154, good enough for seventh. His best round of the weekend was a 75 on Saturday. Rob Pepi was 160 for the weekend, shooting six strokes better on the final day with a 75 scorecard to place 12th.

Adam Skaff, who was battling an illness all weekend, shot a 161 in the tournament to place 20th, followed by Will Retain with a 161 final tally. Ryan Davis ended the weekend with a 174.

The men will travel to Cape Charles, VA to compete in the 2012 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament. It will be held at Bay Creek Country Club April 21-24.
