The Lead: The Roanoke College Golf team currently sits in ninth-place after the second of three rounds at the 2017 ODAC Championships at Wintergreen Resort.

How it Happened

  • In a rain soaked first two rounds, RC posted a 329 in round one then shot five strokes better in round two with a 324, for a combined 653.
  • Andrew Butts shot a 79 when round one was completed then fired a 73 in round two which places him in a tie for eighth overall. Andrew Edwards has a two round score of 163 after shooting an 83 in round one and an 80 in round two.
  • Butts is nine shots back of leaders Josh Hill and Kell Graham of Guilford and Luke Farley of Washington and Lee who are all one under par with a total of 143.
  • No. 19 Guilford leads the field with a two round score of 294-294—588, which is 13 strokes better than second-place No. 14 Washington and Lee and 28 strokes better than No. 24 Hampden-Sydney which is in third-place.
