April Golf Newsletter

2019-20 Roanoke Golf April Newsletter

With the COVID-19 pandemic putting an abrupt halt to end of the 2020 spring campaign, I wanted to take this time to reach out to all Roanoke College golf alumni and express my gratitude for all of your support and thank you for all you have done to make this season a success for the team and our program. Many of you have shown so much support in terms of reaching out to me and the guys, coming to see us play at various events, speaking to the team and encouraging us, making financial commitments, offering to help our seniors in their future endeavors, and supporting Roanoke College, the golf program, and the young men that are putting in the work to build on the foundation that each of you helped to lay.

Nicholas Peters, Sr., Salem Va.
Major: Biology
Career highlights: Shooting 68, making pars on top of pars, and saying sexy after someone else's good shot.
Nicholas to the next generation of RC golfers: "You are coming to Roanoke college for an education, so put the most time and work into that. The two factors that will determine if you will get better at golf in college is your major because some majors workloads are easier (cough, cough, business majors) and how you divide up your social and golf time."
