The Basics:

The Lead: Roanoke College hosted the four school, six team, Roanoke Spring Invitational on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. The Maroons rallied after a tough front nine to finish second in the team event while sophomore Daniel Poff finished third individually.
How it Happened:
- Poff posted one of only five rounds in the 70's. After going out in a two over par 37, the Salem native posted another two over par for a four over, 75.
- Roanoke College posted a team score of 330, finishing only behind the A-Team from Southern Virginia (303). Ferrum posted a 334 with Emory & Henry and the Roanoke B-Team tying at 335 while the Southern Virginia B-Team rounded out the scoring.
- A trio of Maroons would join Wesley Jones from E&H in a four-way tie for sixth. Senior Evan Diebus would join sophomore Will Clary and freshman Michael Donnelly in posting nine over par 80's.
Up next: Roanoke was scheduled to go to Harrisonburg next weekend, but the tournament, hosted by Bridgewater College, was postponed due to weather. Next up for the Maroons will be a trio to Lynchburg to play in the 2021 Hill City Invitational March 8-9.
