Forest, Va. – Roanoke College's Kevin Jackson has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week as the league announced its weekly awards on Monday.
Jackson had a total of 10 points in leading RC to a 2-0 ODAC week. In a victory at Bridgewater on Wednesday, Jackson had two goals and dished out two assists. He also had three groundballs and a caused turnover.
In a key 15-14 ODAC win over Washington and Lee on Saturday, Jackson had six points on three goals and three assists. With an assist in the third quarter he became just the 13th player in RC's storied men's lacrosse history to reach the 200 career point plateau with 120 goals and 82 assists. Later with the game tied, Jackson scored with 33.7 seconds remaining to give RC the win.
Roanoke has completed its regular season and will await the seeding for the 2017 ODAC Tournament.
