Twelve Maroons Named All-ODAC; Sarro Named Rookie of the Year

Forest, Va. – Roanoke College placed a league high 12 players on the 2017 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Team.

RC also had a league high five on the first-team with Jason Sarro (attack), IV Stucker (midfield), Kevin Jackson (midfield), Chad Fisher (short stick), and Conn Curry (defense) earning first-team accolades.

Peter Lindley (attack), Robby Moore (defense), Ian Davies (goalkeeper) earned second-team honors, while Cameron Linsley (midfield), Reid Kaminski (face-off) and Tim Aldinger (long stick) were named third-team. 

Sarro, who was named the ODAC Rookie of the Year as well, is currently sixth in the league with 63 points on the year. His 40 goals ranks 11th best in the league, while his 23 assists is ninth highest in the ODAC.

Stucker earns his second straight first-team honor after registering 51 points which was 17th best in the league. He scored 29 goals, while his 22 assists is 11th best in the ODAC.  

Jackson was named to the first-team for the third straight year and to the all-conference team for the fourth time. He finished tied with Stucker with 51 points on 25 goals and 26 assists on the season.

Fisher had the fourth most groundballs in the league with 72, he also caused 10 turnovers and won 76 face-offs at a 61% clip for the Maroons.

Curry was named to the first-team for the second straight year. He had the second most caused turnovers in the league with 37, while his 55 groundballs was 13th highest.

Lindley made an immediate impact during his first season in Salem scoring 51 goals which was the seventh highest in the league, while his 58 total points ranks 10th.

Moore had 17 caused turnovers and 41 groundballs, while Davies' 9.34 goals against average was tops in the league and his 54.9% save percentage was fifth highest in the ODAC.

Linsley finished the season with 20 goals and 15 assists for 35 points. Kaminski won 109 face-offs which is ninth most in the ODAC, while his 60 groundballs is eighth highest. Aldinger had 16 groundballs and eight caused turnovers in helping the RC defense post a 9.33 goals against average which is tops in the ODAC.

Joe King was named to the Ray Rostan Men's Lacrosse Sportsmanship Team following a senior season in which he played in 11 games as a defensive midfielder for the Maroons.
