Five Maroons Named USILA All-Americans

Salem, Va. – Five Roanoke College Men's Lacrosse standouts have been named All-Americans by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) on Wednesday.

Defenseman Conn Curry was named Second-Team All-American, midfielder IV Stucker was a third-team choice, while attackmen Kevin Jackson and Jason Sarro were honorable mention selections along with defensive midfielder Chad Fisher.

It marks the second All-American honor for Curry who was an honorable mention choice last year. This season, he was First-Team All-ODAC, had the second most caused turnovers in the league with 37, while his 55 groundballs was 13th highest.

This marks the second straight All-American honor for Stucker who was named First-Team All-ODAC after registering 51 points which was 17th best in the league. He scored 29 goals, while his 22 assists is 11th best in the ODAC. 

Sarro was First-Team All-ODAC and was named the ODAC Rookie of the Year as well. He was sixth in the league with 63 points on the year. His 40 goals ranked 11th best in the league, while his 23 assists is ninth highest in the ODAC.

Jackson garners his third All-American honor of his career and was named First-Team All-ODAC for the third straight year and to the all-conference team for the fourth time. He finished tied with Stucker with 51 points on 25 goals and 26 assists on the season. He finished his career as just one of 14 players in RC history with over 200 points.

It is the first All-American award for Fisher who had the fourth most ground balls in the league with 72, he also caused 10 turnovers and won 76 face-offs at a 61% clip for the Maroons.
