Forest, Va. – Roanoke College's Garritt Schwarz has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week.

Schwarz, a freshman from Tallahassee, Fla., announced his presence without much doubt in his first collegiate game, racking up nine points in the Maroons' 15-10 season-opening win over Colorado College. Schwarz found the back of the net eight times and dished out an assist. He also picked up four ground balls. He registered five of Roanoke's seven goals in a decisive third period in which RC broke open a 5-4 halftime-edge.

RC is back in action on Saturday when it hosts Sewanee at 2:00 p.m.
