Seven Maroons Earn Men's Lax Honors

Salem, Va. – Seven Roanoke College Men's Lacrosse standouts have been named to the 2019 ODAC All-Conference. 

Jason Sarro and Peter Lindley were both named first-team at attack, while midfielder Brendan Devane was first-team along with goalie Ian Davies. Midfielder Daniel Medvetz and defender Sam Balch were chosen to the second-team and Matthew Lintner was a third-team choice at attack.

Sarro earns his third consecutive first-team honor after he finished fifth in the league with 78 points on the year. He had 37 goals which was 13th most in the league, while his 41 assists were second in the ODAC. He also picked up 36 groundballs on the year. He played just 13 games due to a season-ending injury.

Lindley led the ODAC with 64 goals on the year. He added 16 assists for a total of 80 points which was second best in the league. He also had 31 groundballs and caused 13 turnovers for the Maroons. Its Lindley's first, first-team honor and his second all-conference honor.

Davies picks up his second-consecutive first-team selection. The reigning USILA Goalie of the Year, Davies had 248 saves which was second most in the ODAC. His 57.5 save percentage was third best in the ODAC and his 11.01 goals against average was fourth-best in the league. It's the third all-conference honor for Davies.

Devane earns his second all-conference honor and his first, first-team accolade. He started all 19 games and registered 41 total points on the season. He had 31 goals which was 20th best in the league, while he dished out 10 assists on the season as well.

Medvetz was named to the second-team following a season in which he had 37 points. He scored 22 goals and added 15 assists which ranked 25th in the league. He also had 28 groundballs and caused six turnovers.

Balch earned his first all-conference honor. He played in 18 games and had 33 groundballs to go along with 11 caused turnovers for the Maroons.

Lintner finished his final season in Salem by scoring 44 points. He scored 28 goals to go along 16 assists for RC.
