USILA Recognizes a Pair of Maroons

Gilbert and Kammerman earn Honorable Mention All American honors

The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced the 2022 Dynamic Division III All-Americans and Roanoke would place two on the Honorable Mention team.

George Gilbert earned All American status as a midfielder for the second consecutive season. The senior scored 43 gaols and handed out 15 assists for 58 total points. Gilbert was named All Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) 2nd team and helped to direct the Maroons to the 2022 NCAA DIII Men's Lacrosse Tournament. The midfielder added 26 ground balls, six caused turnovers, and scored 12 times on the power play.

Luke Kammerman earned his first All american selection as an attackman on the honorable Mention team. Kammerman earned 1st team All ODAC honors after scoring 52 goals and handing out 59 assists. His 111 total points were a Roanoke College Men's Lacrosse program record as were his 59 helpers. Kammerman would add 41 ground balls, seven caused turnovers, and four man up goals all while shooting 68.1% overall and 75% in ODAC play.
