Brian White Tabbed ODAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week
Men's soccer standout Brian White (Virginia Beach, VA, First Colonial) has been tabbed as ODAC Men's Soccer Player of the Week announced Monday evening. It is the first time in White's career that he has garnered the weekly award. He is also the first Maroon since Michael Stark a year ago today to represent Roanoke College with this award.

White, a sophomore midfielder, scored three goals for the Maroons last week, including the game-winner in overtime to defeat Averett, 1-0. He added two more tallies in a 3-0 win over Eastern Mennonite to push Roanoke four points clear of the second place Royals in the ODAC standings. White is currently tied for second in the ODAC with seven goals scored and third with 14 points.

The men's soccer team is currently ranked #25 nationally and carries an 8-2-1 overall record, 4-0-1 in the ODAC. The Maroons are riding a four-game winning-streak since dropping a 2-0 decision to Greensboro on Sept. 18.

They will host North Carolina Wesleyan, which holds a 3-3-4 record, on Tuesday evening at 5 p.m. in non-conference action. The Battling Bishops defeated Greensboro, Virginia Wesleyan and Lynchburg all by a 2-0 score. They tied with #20 North Park and fell to both #16 Rutgers-Camden and William Patterson, which is eighth in the NSCAA South Atlantic Region Poll.
