Lentine thriving in the USL Premier Development League
Robby Lentine has been competing United States League's Premier Development League (PDL) with the GPS Portland Phoenix throughout the summer. The PDL is considered by many to be the top amateur soccer league in the United States. The league has a mix of players from all levels of soccer that are trying to play professionally in their future careers. Therefore, along with many foreign players, the league receives a lot of DI, DII and DIII players.

Lentine has been a huge asset to the Phoenix defense that has collected seven shutouts out of the 14 games that have been played this season. The Phoenix also clinched the PDL Northeast Division regular-season championship, which means they will host a first-round playoff on Tuesday, July 21st against the Seacoast United Phantoms.

The native of Raymond, Maine has started in nine games while appearing in 13 for the Phoenix. He mostly plays in the right back position and has also collected one assist during the season as well. Lentine has also helped the team to an 8-1-5 record for the summer season.

The rising senior will look to achieve another outstanding season for the Maroons this fall. Lentine started all 20 games in the 2014 season as a midfielder and was named Second-Team All-ODAC. He finished the season ranked fifth in the ODAC in assists (5) and second on the team in goals (5).

The Roanoke College men's soccer team's 2014 season will be difficult to top as they collected a school-record 10 ODAC victories and were undefeated in conference play (10-0-1). The Maroons will kick off their 2015 season with an exhibition at Radford University on August 23rd at 2:00 PM. There official season will begin with a home contest against Ferrum College on September 1st at 7:30 PM.
