The Lead: Roanoke topped Lynchburg 1-0 in ODAC Men's Soccer action Wednesday behind a goal from Tyler Carbaugh.
How it Happened
- The lone goal of the match came 16 minutes into the first-half when Tyler Carbaugh rocketed a shot from just outside the box to give RC the only goal it would need.
- The Maroon's defense held LC to just two shots in the first 45 minutes and was able to withstand the Lynchburg offensive pressure in the second-half.
- LC got off seven shots, but just two on goal and they were easily turned away by RC keeper Cole Sinclair.
- LC outshot RC 9-5 for the match and held a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.
- With the win, RC improves to 10-4-1, giving the program its seventh double-digit win season in the last eight years.
