The Lead: Third-seeded Roanoke fell to second-seeded Randolph 2-1 in double-overtime in the semifinals of the 2015 ODAC Men's Soccer Tournament on Saturday.
 
How it Happened:
  • The Maroons applied offensive pressure from the outset with Orestis Ilias hitting the post just 53 seconds into the contest.
  • Blake Heatherly got Randolph on the board in the 32nd minute, scoring from 20 yards out.
  • The match remained that way through the intermission and until the 66th minute when Marshall Hodge got the equalizer for the Maroons.
  • Roanoke controlled the first 10 minute overtime, outshooting Randolph 4-1, but WildCat keeper CJ Stevens made two key saves to keep the game tied.
  • Heatherly struck for the game-winner just over two minutes into the second overtime to give Randolph the win and a trip to the ODAC Championship on Sunday.
  • RC held a 22-15 edge in shots and 7-3 in corner kicks.
  • Cole Sinclair made six saves for the Maroons, while Stevens made five stops for Randolph.
