Roanoke Tabbed Second in ODAC Men’s Soccer Preseason Poll

Forest, Va. – The Roanoke College Men's Soccer team was tabbed second in the 2016 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Preseason Poll.

RC finished 12-7-1 last season and advanced to the ODAC Tournament semifinals. Fortune Sibanda returns in the midfield for the Maroons after earning First-Team All-ODAC honors last season. Defender Sam Rauf, who earned second-team all-league accolades, is back along with third-team choice Tim Mahabir.

Defending champion Washington and Lee earned 10 first-place votes to take the top spot, while RC and Randolph earned the other first-place nods.

Roanoke College will start its season by hosting the All-Sports Cafe Tournament. RC will take on 10 time National Champion Messiah on Friday Sept. 2 at 7:30 and NC Wesleyan on Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
