The Lead: A pair of second-half goals lifted Roanoke to a 2-0 win over Greensboro on Wednesday night.
How it Happened:
- Dylan Berk scored the the only goal on the night that RC needed in the 66th minute as he tallied an unassisted strike to make it 1-0.
- The match stayed that way until the 89th minute when Tim Leuenberger doubled the lead and sealed the win for the Maroons with an unassisted strike of his own.
- The Roanoke defense held GC to just seven shots on the night, with goalkeeper Zach Behe turning away all four shots that he faced.
- RC had just six shots themselves and held a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.
- Elmer Martinez made a pair of saves for The Pride.
