SALEM, Va. -- The Roanoke College Men's Soccer Team is receiving votes in this week's United Soccer Coaches Top-25 Poll.

The Maroons are also ranked No. 4 in this week's South Atlantic Regional Poll, jumping up four spots from last week.

Roanoke is 7-0-1 on the year and is off to its best start to open a season since the Maroons went 9-1-0 to begin the 2001 season.

RC has been led by a defense that has posted an ODAC best five shutouts on the season and the Maroons are a perfect 5-0-0 on the road.

Roanoke is back in action on Saturday when it hosts rival Lynchburg at 6:00 p.m. during the College's Family Weekend.
