Roanoke Sees Five Named All Conference

Five Maroons named All ODAC

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) released their 2020-21 All ODAC Men's Soccer awards on Tuesday afternoon. Five Maroons were named to the three all conference teams with each being a repeat selections from the 2019 teams.

Joe Carman was named to the 1st team as a defender after being 3rd team All ODAC a year ago. Carman helped anchor a Roanoke defense that recorded a league best .68 goals against per game while posting a league high six shutouts.

Liam Camilleri earned 2nd team honors as a forward. This season, Camilleri finished the season as the ODAC's 10th leading goal scorer with three goals and moves up to the 2nd team after being named 3rd team All ODAC in 2019.

Dylan Berk repeated as a member of the 2nd team as a midfielder. Berk wrapped up the abbreviated schedule with two goals and an assist while seeing 80% of his shots being on goal, the highest percentage in the ODAC for any player with more than 10 shots attempted.

Alec Taitague gave the Maroons a pair of midfielders on the 2nd team. The junior was a 3rd team selection last season and moved up to the second team after scoring one goal in Roanoke's eight games.

Chris Jerrild was named All ODAC 2nd team as a defender after earning 3rd team honors in 2019. Jerrild had two goals and an assist. In the Maroon's quarterfinal win at #2 Washington and Lee, Jerrild netted the game winner and was named to the ODAC Men's Soccer All Tournament Team.
