Men's Season Ends, Women Advance in ODAC Tennis Tournament
The men's and women's tennis teams competed in the Quarterfinal round of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament Saturday. The men fell on the road to Bridgewater, 5-0 while the women defeated Guilford, 5-0 at the Elizabeth Campus Courts.

The men's season ends with a 4-12 record, which included a 3-5 ODAC mark and a winless (0-6) road ledger this spring. After winning three of four matches, the Maroons dropped the final three of the season.

The women, who tied the 1993 and 1995 teams with a program-record 13 victories this spring, advance to the conference semifinals next Saturday held at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA. The Maroons, who carry a 13-6 overall record, were 7-3 in the ODAC, good enough for the #4 seed.

The duo of Laura Dodson and Corbin Leitch won, 8-3 in #1 doubles. Leitch (13-5 in #2 singles) won her #2 singles match, 6-1, 6-0 as the match came to an end before Dodson could complete her #1 singles competition. She was ahead, 6-3, 3-3 at the completion of the match. The pair has a 14-4 doubles record, which includes an 8-2 mark against conference opponents this season.

Jennifer Antoszyk and Lucy Webb won, 8-6 in the #2 flight to improve their record to 9-2 in #2 doubles. Brianna Carroll and Haley Goodes edged out a 9-7 victory in the #3 slot to complete the doubles sweep. Antoszyk won in #3 singles, 6-2, 6-1 to end the match early for the Maroons and make her 11-1 in #3 singles on the year.
