The Lead: Roanoke Men's Tennis opened its Spring Break trip in Hilton Head, S.C. with a 6-3 win over Thomas More.   

How it Happened:

• Roanoke led 2-1 after doubles following wins by the team of Holden Branham and Bill Goins at No. 1 and then an 8-5 win for Jose Alvarado and Neel Shah at No. 2 doubles.
• Alverado recorded a 6-7, 6-0, 6-1 victory over Sheldon Preisler at No. 2 singles.
• Goins topped Cameron Shi 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3 singles, while Jack Doriss and Matt Friedlander picked up wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
