The Lead: Brady Fowler and Samuel Crawford won individual events in school-record times, and the Roanoke College men's indoor track & field team came in fifth at the Joe LaRocco Invitational on Saturday.

Men's Highlights:

  • Carnegie Mellon earned the team title with 123.5 points, followed by Washington and Lee (92), Bridgewater (88.5), Lynchburg (80), and the Maroons (64).
  • Fowler took first in the 60m dash with a record-setting time of 6.86 seconds, placing him atop the ODAC season leaderboard.
  • Crawford won the 200 with a school-record mark of 22.26 seconds, currently the third-fastest time in the conference this winter. Fowler came in third at 22.51, which is good for fifth in the league.
  • Crawford also recorded a runner-up finish in the 400 (50.50 seconds), while Lorenzo Camobreco placed fourth (51.32).
  • Matt Garis took second place in the 5,000 with a personal-record time of 16:09.70.
  • Dylan Knick set a PR in the 60m hurdles, finishing fifth in 9.07 seconds.

Up Next: Roanoke will compete at the Virginia Tech Invitational next weekend. It's the final regular-season tune-up before the Maroons host the ODAC Indoor Championships at Cregger Fieldhouse on Feb. 25-26.
