Crawford Named ODAC Male Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week

SALEM, Va. -- After winning two events and coming in second in another, Roanoke track and field senior Samuel Crawford has been named the ODAC Male Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office. 

Crawford competed three times at W&L Track & Field Carnival and finds his name atop an ODAC early season chart for three different events. Crawford won the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.09 seconds. That not only tops the conference list but sits fourth in the country. The Maroons winning 4x400-meter relay team also sits fourth in Division III after posting a time of 3:19.96. That time by Crawford, Lorenzo Camobreco, Brandon Heffinger, and Hunter Bohon is #1 in the league and snapped a 49-year old school record. Crawford was joined by Camobreco, Aidan Spradlin, and Blake Morin in finishing second in the 4x100-meter relay at 42.50 seconds. That time is tops in conference and ranks 12th in the nation.
