The Lead: Brady Fowler broke the school record in the 100m dash as the Maroons' outdoor men's track and field team competed in the VertKlasse Meeting at High Point University this weekend.

Men's Highlights:

  • Fowler's school-record time of 10.50 seconds in the 100m landed him in eighth place in a field of mostly Division I and Division II competitors.
  • Samuel Crawford placed fifth overall in the 400m with a season-best time of 48.49 seconds.
  • Cooper Neeble came in eighth in the 3,000m steeplechase with a personal-best mark of 9:32.45. Joshua Woodley's time of 10:35.18 landed him in 23rd place.
  • The times from Crawford, Fowler, and Neeble all mark the best in the ODAC during the current outdoor campaign. Fowler is currently fifth in Division III in the 100m, while Crawford ranks sixth in the 400m.
  • The 4x100 relay team of Aidan Spradlin, Crawford, Joseph Eldridge, and Fowler placed seventh in 42.14 seconds, which ranks second in the conference this spring.
  • Joseph Kenney placed 26th in the triple jump with a distance of 12.83m.
  • Scott Garis came in 32nd among all competitors in the 5,000m with a personal-best time of 15:43.23.
  • Lorenzo Camobreco placed second in his group in the 400m with a time of 49.32 seconds.
  • Fowler was the fourth-place finisher in his section of the 200m, where his mark of 21.67 seconds currently ranks third in the ODAC.
