Fowler Named ODAC Track Athlete of the Week

SALEM, Va. -- After strong a performance last week at the VertKlasse Meeting hosted by Div. I High Point, Roanoke athlete Brady Fowler has been named ODAC Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office. 

Fowler, a sophomore from Dublin, Va., was a standout performer at the Division I and II heavy VertKlasse Meeting hosted by High Point University as he posted a pair of nationally well-rated sprints. Fowler set the Maroons program record in the 100-meter dash with an eighth-place time of 10.50 seconds. That mark is #1 in the ODAC and sits sixth in Division III. Fowler stopped the watches fourth in the 200-meter dash at 21.67 seconds. That is the third-fastest time in the conference and 17th-best in the country this year. Fowler ran the anchor leg on the Maroons 4x100-meter relay team. He was joined by Aiden Spradlin, Samuel Crawford, and Joseph Eldridge in posting a seventh-place time of 42.14 seconds. That is second-best in the league and 23rd in the country. Fowler was the top D-III finisher in both sprints along with RC's 4x100-relay team.
