Fowler, Crawford Named VaSID College Division Indoor Track All-State

SALEM, Va. -- After a successful indoor season, the awards have come in. Brady Fowler and Samuel Crawford of the Roanoke track and field team have been named to the VaSID College Division Indoor Track & Field All-State Team, as announced by the organization.

Fowler won the 60m title at the ODAC Indoor Championship at the end of February. His time qualified him for a spot in the Div. III National Championship. Fowler finished in a tie for 17th in the 20-man field in the preliminaries of the 60m dash at the Birmingham CrossPlex. His time of 6.92 seconds left him even with MIT's Jeremiah Budiman. The mark was just shy of Fowler's school-record time of 6.84 seconds, which he set while winning the ODAC title. He was also named last month to the All-Region team for both the 60m and part of the 4x400 Relay.

Crawford, who earlier earned All-Region honors in both the 200m and 400m, was named Second Team All-State by VaSID, as well as part of the 4x400 Relay team. He claimed the ODAC title in the 400m with a school-record time of 49.63 while finishing second at ODAC's with another school-record time of 22.10.
