This weekend the Roanoke College Softball team will compete in the 2012 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament April 27-29 held at the Moyer Complex in Salem. The Moyer Complex is the home of the Maroons, and where the program has won an ODAC-best seven conference championships.
 
The Office of Student Affairs will provide students FREE Tickets at the gate for Friday's contests vs. Randolph College at 2 p.m. and the following game in the double-elimination tournament.

The Maroons, who finished the season 25-9 overall, earned a #2 seed in the ODAC Tournament with a 13-5 conference mark. The women are coming into the conference tournament on a hot-streak, winning 11 of their final 13 regular season games. Roanoke earned its first #2 seed since 2010 and the second in the past six seasons.
 
Roanoke is among the nation's best in batting average (5^th), ERA (14^th), scoring (11^th), home runs per game (12^th), doubles (3^rd) and slugging percentage (3^rd). On the mound, Kelly Higbie is fifth in the country in wins (21), 17^th in shutouts (6) while Leona Rainey ranks third nationally in stolen bases (36) and runs scored.
