Lowery's honors makes her the fourth RC softball player to be named Athlete of the Week in 2012. With Graves receiving this award, she has earned an Athlete of the Week award for the fall (Soccer), winter (Indoor Track) and spring (Outdoor Track) seasons, all in the 2011-12 school year.
Felice Lowery's celebrated Senior Day on April 15th against Sweet Briar going 8-for-8 at the plate on the day with three home runs in the first game alone. Lowery also walked away on the afternoon with 10 RBIs and crossed the plate six times on her own accord. In all games of the week, prior to Sunday, she went 6-for-13 with doubles in every contest totaling six for the week. In six contests, Lowery batted .667 with almost as many RBIs (13) as she had hits (14).
Carmen Graves competed at the prestigious Sea Ray Relays, hosted by University of Tennessee. In her spring debut 800M race, Graves ran in the featured “Showcase 800M Race,” which included several top ranked Division I runners and professional athletes. Graves placed 8th overall and ran a personal best time of 2:08.5, breaking her previous set school and ODAC record of 2:10. She now sits atop of the 800M ranking in DIII by over a second and a half.
