The Lead: Roanoke rallied for a 3-2 win in eight innings to open the ODAC doubleheader.
How it Happened
- The game featured a pitchers duel between Roanoke's Teresa Wagner and Eastern Mennonite's Kelsi Martin with EMU holding just a 1-0 lead heading to the bottom of the seventh inning.
- The Maroon rally was sparked when Meagan Evans reached on an EMU error with one out before being lifted for a pinch runner.
- After Kate Priester was hit by a pitch to put runners on first and second base, Riley Croghan delivered a two-out RBI single to tie the game at 1-1.
- EMU retook the lead in the top of the eighth inning when Casey Coleman singled home Beck Hoskins to put the Royals in front 2-1.
- In the bottom half of the inning, Brooke Trapuzzano bunted Rebecca Hensley to third base. Shanan Hester then singled to score Hensley and tie the game 2-2.
- Serenity Bishop was hit by a pitch to put runners on first and second then Anna Clowdis singled to score Hester and give RC the win.
- Wagner got the win to improve to 8-7. She went the distance allowing two runs on nine hits. Martin was the hard-luck loser after giving up three runs on four hits, dropping her record to 7-9.

Score: Eastern Mennonite 7, Roanoke 1
Records: Roanoke 18-21 / 7-13 ODAC | Eastern Mennonite 16-20 / 5-15 ODAC

The Lead: Eastern Mennonite used a five run sixth inning to take a 7-1 win over Roanoke in the nightcap.
How it Happened
- With EMU leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second inning, Anna Clowdis singled to open the inning, went to second on a fielder's choice and third on a sacrifice bunt. Clowdis would score on an RBI single Scarlett Sisson to tie the game at 1-1.
- A Sierra Lantz solo home run in the fifth inning gave EMU a 2-1 lead.
- In the Royal sixth inning, they loaded the bases with one out and got back-to-back RBI singles from Cassidey Chrisman and Lantz to take a 4-1 lead. After a bases-loaded walk to Danielle Brenneman, Hoskins delivered a single to score a pair and make it 7-1.
- Alia Miller (6-6) got the win for EMU going the distance and giving up just one run on seven hits. Emily Salsberry dropped to 7-9 on the year after going the first 5.1 innings and giving up four runs.
