Hensley and Hester Earn All-ODAC Honors in Softball

Salem, Va. – Roanoke College's Rebecca Hensley and Shanan Hester have been named to the 2019 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Softball All-Conference Team.

Hester was named First-Team All-ODAC in the outfield, while Hester was an at-large selection as a utility player on the third-team.

During her first season in Salem, Hensley is third in the ODAC with a .425 average with 23 RBI. Her 54 hits currently rank fourth-most in the ODAC, while her 30 hits in league play is tops in the ODAC. Her 37 runs scored is seventh most in the ODAC, while her 23 RBI is 24th highest in the league. Her .471 on-base percentage is 11th highest in the league and she has 11 stolen bases. She was the only freshman named First-Team All-ODAC.

Hester hit .317 for the Maroons this. She had one home run to go along with 27 RBI. She had 39 hits which included 10 doubles. She had a .363 on-base percentage and a slugging percentage of .423.

The Maroons finished the season 18-21 overall and 7-13 in the ODAC
