SALEM, Va. -- After helping lead the Roanoke softball team to the Regional final this season, Jada Karnes has been named First Team All-State by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID).

Karnes, a Roanoke native, was honored by the NFCA with an All-Region VI Third Team selection earlier this summer. She was chosen First Team All-ODAC this season as well.

This season, Karnes made 26 appearances with 24 starts. She finished the season with an 18-6 record with 20 complete games in 168.0 innings pitched. She had 120 strikeouts, averaging 5.0 per seven-inning pitched. Her ERA this season was 1.46.
