The Lead: Lynchburg topped Roanoke 67-42 on Wednesday night in ODAC Women's Hoops.

How it Happened

• With the score tied at 11 in the first quarter, LC scored six straight points to go up 17-11 before Laura McManimen hit a three-pointer to send the teams to the first break with LC up 17-14.
• LC scored the first nine points of the second quarter capped with a Cierra Brown basket giving the Hornets a 26-14 lead with 3:43 to go in the half.
• Lynchburg held a 35-19 advantage at halftime and would go on to outscore Roanoke 26-13 in the third quarter.
• McManimen led RC with 14 points and Molly Hassell had nine points.
• The Maroons turned the ball over 24 times that led to 27 LC points. LC connected on 20-of-28 shots from the foul line, while RC was 5-of-6.
• Caroline Naumann had a game-high 19 points for Lynchburg. Brittany Afolabi-Brown had 15 points and Olivia DeFrancesco had 11 for LC.
