The Lead: Roanoke fell 73-43 to Randolph-Macon in ODAC Women's Basketball action Saturday afternoon in Ashland, Va.

How it Happened:

• Kristina Harrel scored a team-high 18 points followed by Madeline Suhr with 13 points. Victoria Maxwell grabbed 14 rebounds and Suhr also recorded a game-high nine blocks to go along with nine rebounds. 
• Randolph-Macon was led by Kelly Williams with 26 points and 16 rebounds and Charlotte Woods with 18 points and 15 rebounds as the Yellow Jackets held a 59-41 edge on the glass.
• Roanoke shot 26.6% from the field going 17-for-64 and Randolph-Macon went 26-for-72 for 36.1%.
• With the score 21-22 R-MC, the Yellow Jackets went on a 9-0 run capped by a layup from Woods to make it 30-21 with just under three minutes left in the first half.
• A layup from Suhr closed the gap to seven, making it 39-32 with 5:34 to go in the third quarter. 
• Williams scored three consecutive buckets in the final minute of the third quarter to extend it to 52-37. The Yellow Jackets went on to outscore the Maroons 19-4 in the final quarter.
