The Lead: Roanoke fell 98-64 in an ODAC match-up at Emory & Henry Wednesday night. 

How it Happened:

  • Emory & Henry led 32-18 at the conclusion of the first quarter then opened the second quarter with a 12-1 run taking a 44-19 lead following a Myesa Logan three-pointer with just over six minutes to play in the half.
  • E&H led 53-29 at the half then opened up the second-half by scoring 16 of the first 23 points, pulling ahead 69-36 on a Syndey McKinney layup with 4:46 to play.
  • Roanoke was led by Victoria Maxwell with 13 points and Allison Livengood who came off the bench to score 12. Molly Hassell joined them in double-digits with 10 points. 
  • The Wasps had four players in double-digits headed by McKinney with 16 points, Tessa Johnston with 15, while Logan and Laken Blackburn each with 10.
  • Roanoke shot 38.7% on the night going for 24-for-62 while Emory & Henry went 39-for-58 for 67.2%, including 11 three-pointers.
