Three Maroons Honored by IWLCA as All-Region

Salem, Va. – Three Roanoke College standouts have named Second-Team All-Chesapeake Region by the IWLCA on Monday. 

Katie Clements, Emerson Foster and Jenn Schwechheimer, who were all named First-Team All-ODAC earlier this month, each earns all-region honors for the first time in their careers. 

Clements, who was named Third-Team All-ODAC a season ago, finished her senior season ninth in the league in points with 59. Her 53 goals were fifth most in the league and she had six assists as well. She was tops in the ODAC with 45 groundballs and second with 92 draw controls. Defensively, her 18 caused turnovers was 18th best in the league. 

Foster finished her first season in Salem by starting all 19 games on defense for the Maroons. She had 35 groundballs which was ninth most in the ODAC this season. She also 82 draw controls which was fifth most in the league. She also caused 17 turnovers as well. 

Schwechheimer led the ODAC with 112 points this season. Her 54 assists were tops in the ODAC, while her 58 goals were third most in the league. She is the first Maroon since 2014 to eclipse the 100 points plateau and becomes the first Roanoke player to lead the league in points since Claire Feeney in 2016. Schwechheimer also had 24 groundballs and 12 caused turnovers. Schwechheimer broke the ODAC and school record for points with 17 and the RC record with nine goals in a win over Ferrum in February.
