Parenteau, Graves Score twice in 5-0 Victory over Sweet Briar
SALEM --- Carmen Graves (Christiansburg, VA, Christiansburg) and Stephanie Parenteau (Virginia Beach, VA, Kellam) score twice in a 5-0 ODAC-victory over Sweet Briar Friday evening at Kerr Stadium. The Maroons improve to 10-4-1 overall, 6-3 in the ODAC. The Vixens drop to 1-11, 0-9 in conference play.

The Maroons were dominant tonight, outshooting Sweet Briar, 23-2, including 18-1 in shots on goal. Roanoke had 10 corner kicks while the Vixens didn't attempt one for the contest.

Graves scored both of her goals in the first 30-minutes to give her five on the season. Rebekah Adams (Springfield, VA, West Springfield) and Parenteau contributed the other two to jump out to a 4-0 halftime lead. Devon Harrell (Nahant, MA, The Governor's Academy) was credited with her first collegiate assist on Parenteau's score.

In the 86th minute, Parenteau fifth goal of the season was from 30-yards out for a top-shelf goal to end the scoring.

Carolyn Sarbacher (Dunkirk, MD, Northern) had one save for Roanoke. Seanne Weekes collected 13 saves for the Vixens.

The women return to action on the road Wednesday, Oct. 19 to take on Guilford in Greensboro, N.C. The match is scheduled for 4 p.m.
