Maroons Defeat Kenyon Off Bradner Second Half Goal
LYNCHBURG - The Roanoke College women's soccer team picked up its first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Kenyon College on Sunday during the Shellenberger Classic. The Maroons now sit with a record of 1-2, while the Ladies now hold a record of 1-3.

The Maroons scored the only goal of the contest as Pierce Bradner placed the game winner in the back of the net at the 55:30 mark.

Roanoke outshot Kenyon 20-14, and also led in corner kicks for the game (8-5). Rebekah Adams led the Maroons in shots with five, followed by Stephanie Parenteau with four. Carolyn Sarbacher played all 90 minutes in goal and tallied four saves.

The Maroons return to action on Wednesday, September 12th as they play host to Gulford College in the team's ODAC opener. That contest is scheduled for a 6:00 PM start at Donald J. Kerr Stadium.
