Christopher Newport's Sarah Perrett scored the first goal of the game at 33:12, giving the Captains the initial 1-0 lead.  The Captains extended their lead in the second half as Victoria Perry slipped one into the left corner of the goal to put CNU ahead by two, 2-0.

At the 63 minute mark in the game, Adelyn Fitzgerald put Roanoke on the board, notching her third goal of the season.  She was assisted on the play by Taylor Sayegh, who picked up her second assist of the year.  Sayegh sent out a long pass over the defense, as Fitzgerald capitalized from the right side of the box.
