The Lead: Ashley Barnes' golden goal in the 98th minute lifted Roanoke to 2-1, come from behind road win over Meredith Tuesday evening.
How it Happened:
- Meredith got on the board at the 14:32 mark of the first-half on a Megan Luke goal.
- The match stayed that way until the 72nd minute when RC's SierraLynn Johnson got the equalizer off a pass from Meagan Ryan to make it 1-1.
- The two teams went to overtime where Barnes scored 8:28 into the period to give RC the win.
- The victory marks the 298th of RC Head Coach Phil Benne's career.
- Meredith out shot RC 17-8.
- Maroons keeper Caroline Liebel made four saves for RC, including three in the second-half of play.
