How it Happened:
  • The first-half saw RC outshoot R-MC 7-1, but just one of those shots was on frame as the teams went to the intermission scoreless.
  • In the 50th minute, Taylor Sayegh played a ball down the right hand side of the field to Carter who beat R-MC keeper Elizabeth Blanco with a shot to the left side of the goal to give RC the only goal it would need.
  • RC got off 11 shots in the second-half to R-MC's four, but Blanco made four stops to keep it a one goal game.
  • Sarah Dvorak (two saves) and the Maroon backline kept a clean sheet for the Maroons' fourth shutout of the year.
