  • Regulation featured a back and forth contest with VWC holding a slim 8-5 lead in shots in the first 90 minutes.
  • The best chance RC had to score came just three minutes in when Emily Whitaker lofted a left-footed shot that was out of the reach of the goalkeeper but hit the cross bar and stayed out of the net.
  • Following the first overtime, VWC scored the game-winner when Brittany Wentzel played a ball from the midfield that Atkins was able to get to before RC keeper Sarah Dvorak who was charging and chip it into the goal.
  • VWC finished the match with a 9-6 advantage in shots and a 5-3  edge in corner kicks.
  • Dvorak made six stops in net for RC, while Megan Gerhart made three stops in VWC shutout.
