The Lead: After 110 minutes of action, Roanoke tied Ferrum in a scoreless draw Wednesday night in ODAC Women's Soccer action.

How it Happened:

  • Roanoke controlled the game early, taking 11 shots while holding Ferrum to no shots throughout the first 25 minutes of play.
  • Kathryn Van Orden fired off a shot in the 103rd minute but hit the crossbar, keeping it 0-0.
  • Taylor Dodson made a save in the final three minutes of the second overtime, off a shot from Lucy Perry, to take the tie.
  • Chris Martin made three saves in goal for the Maroons with one coming in the second period and two coming in overtime action. Dodson made 10 saves in goal for the Panthers.
  • RC owned a 28-4 advantage in shots and took eight of the 10 corners on the night.

Up Next: Roanoke hosts Sweet Briar on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 3 p.m. before the start of the game, the Women's Soccer team will recognize its senior class.
